Home Brew Competition (12:30pm)
The Maryland Brewer’s Homebrew contest is created for all the local people who have formulated the perfect recipe for beer and have honed the skills necessary for home brewery. This unique talent will be judged by the brew experts from the Maryland Brewer’s Association. The winner of this contest will be rewarded a cash prize of $100 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third place as well as the esteem of their fellow brewers. The competition will be judging all styles of beer. The last (2004) revision of the style guidelines has been updated. CLICK HERE for the "2008 updates to the 2004 guidelines".
Miss Oktoberfest Contest (5:30pm)
For the merry maids there is the admired Miss Oktoberfest contest. Not only will these fine-looking ladies dressed in genuine German attire be judged on their appearance and costume but also their knowledge of Oktoberfest by being asked a number of questions such as to name a German sausage. The lucky lady will proudly wear the Miss Oktoberfest sash, carry the trophy beer mug as well as receive $100 in cash!

2. All entries must be 21 years of age or older.
3. All prizes will be received on-site after the contest.

Baltimore’s Best Beer Belly Contest (5:00pm)
Fellas, do you think your gut has what it takes to win this glorious recognition? If so, then come on and compete in the Baltimore’s Best Beer Belly contest. Candidates will be judged on size and personality by the audience. The winner will be hailed as owner of Baltimore’s Best Beer Belly for 2008 on the event website and receive an honorary beer mug trophy & beer tokens at the event in order to begin training for next year’s contest. May the best belly win!

Wife Carrying Contest
Win Your Wife’s Weight in Beer! For those folks who think they can carry their wife (or significant other) far and fast, they need to enter The Wife Carrying Contest. Registrants need to register at the entrance of the show, complete with names and weight. We’ll have scales on hand. The race will be run promptly at 3:00pm on the Timonium Horse track. The specially designed beer Olympic regulation obstacle course is simple but tough. The winning couple will win the wife’s weight in beer! Good luck!
